The Wonargo Revue is a scouting activity that has it's emphasis in performing arts and cultural activities.
It is a not for profit activity that uses it's profits to fund the following years shows, cover expenses such as insurance, maintenance on our building and provide the equipment required to put on a professional show.
We are the longest running show of it's type in Queensland.
Along with many other scouting activities we promote the development of personal characteristics such as commitment, responsibility, self confidence, creativity, leadership, teamwork, discipline and innovation within the aims and mission statement of scouting .
We provide a real opportunity for youth members to gain experience and training in the many aspects of stage craft and production.
Acting, singing, music appreciation, dancing skills, stage craft and production design are all part of the experience gained as a cast member.
Opportunity is also provided for young people to gain experience in writing and producing items.
With its origins in the "Gang Shows" it can give your first taste of showbiz like performing on a scout stage as it did for Dave O'Niel NOVA FM Melbourne host or it could spark the "thirst for performing" as it did with Shane Jacobson of Kenny fame.
All this in a friendly, positive environment that has cast members returning year after year!
